Pou Haumi (0.4 - 0.6 FTE)

Reports to: Pou Hautū Dr Kēpa Morgan DistFEngNZ

Relationships: Interactions with all staff, external collaborators, and clients

Locations: TBD, Waiariki, Tamaki.

Leadership

1. Desktop publishing of: Reports, posters, proof-reading, grant/bill submissions, publishing, funding applications, project reporting, collating updates, abstracts, movie editing.

2. Awards applications (planning, application schedule, applications, media, coordination).

3. Coordination of promotions and marketing events and meetings: wānanga arrangements, online meetings, planning, run-sheets, travel coordination, accommodation, other.

4. Communications Strategy: Develop strategy in collaboration with Pou Hautū, identify opportunities and threats, planning and implementation (national and international). Indicator database management for whānau and hapori mauri dimensions.

5. Mahi Maioro Professional Marketing: website, website blog, social media (e.g. Facebook), press releases, photos, stories, vehicle sign writing, office signage.

6. Records Coordination: Drone deployment arrangements, videography and photography organisation, drone operation, video capture, generic master poster design

7. Central Digital Records management: photography, video, drone video, posters, reports

8. Delegated Project Progress Report preparation

Team

9. Delegated indicator development for use in digitised mauri dashboards.

10.Occupational Health and Safety: Procedures, check-ins, route plans, communications.

Projects

11.On-boarding tasks: FAQs sheet draft for a dashboard build.

12.Other projects, roles and responsibilities as opportunities arise and as agreed with Pou Hautū

Expertise

Māori and Indigenous Studies, Kapa Haka, Social media / Digital marketing,

Business studies, or have other sufficient experience and informal qualifications (i.e. working for Kaupapa Māori organisations such as Rūnanga).

Pou Taupaanga (0.6 - 0.8 FTE)

Reports to: Pou Hautū Dr Kēpa Morgan DistFEngNZ

Relationships: Interactions with all staff as team member and some as project lead

Locations: TBD, Waiariki, Ōtautahi, Otepoti, Taranaki, Waikato, Tamaki.

Leadership

1. Software development and code writing for dashboards and adaptation of existing code.

2. Software architecture development to standardise R-Shiny and associated code in various programming languages including: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python.

3. Data sovereignty planning and implementation as directed by Pou Hautū.

4. Spreadsheet or similar preparation for data input and large database management.

5. Database coordination and API development to interface with external data sets.

6. Indicator database management for whānau and hapori mauri dimensions.

7. Desktop publishing and editing including use of AI Chatbots.

Team

8. Indicator development for use in digitised mauri dashboards.

9. Occupational Health and Safety: Procedures, check-ins, route plans, communications

Projects

10.On-boarding tasks: Code checking for dashboard builds.

11.Other projects, roles and responsibilities as opportunities arise and as agreed with Pou Hautū

Expertise

Computer science, software engineering, engineering science, electrical

engineering, data science, web/app developer, or science degree (biological or environmental sciences) with proficiency in relevant skills. Likely to have completed/near completed undergraduate or equivalent study, or have relevant industry experience.
